that were drilled by the Polar Continental Shelf Project (in 1977 - 337m core; 1979 - 137m core; two 127m cores in
1984 & 1987); two 130m cores in 1994.
Glaciers labelled A, B, C, D demonstate heavily crevassed or hummocky surfaces. Thus, they have very high
summer melt rates.
